Meta Rejects Lawsuit Claim Over WhatsApp Chat Access

A senior Meta consultant has rejected claims that the corporate can entry non-public WhatsApp chats.

The denial got here after a number of customers filed a lawsuit in a US court docket on January 23, which accused Meta of deceptive them about WhatsApp’s privateness options.

The case was submitted in San Francisco by customers from international locations together with Australia, Mexico, South Africa, and India. They argued that the app’s end-to-end encryption shouldn’t be as non-public as Meta claims and are in search of monetary compensation.
