Tether has introduced plans to launch GEL?, a stablecoin pegged to the Georgian Lari, in partnership with the Authorities of Georgia.

The announcement marks one of many first efforts to position a nationwide foreign money immediately onto digital asset infrastructure below a purpose-built stablecoin regulatory framework.
