BoE Launches Tokenized Settlement Trials with 18 Firms

The Financial institution of England has launched a brand new testing program to check how tokenized property may settle in kilos by means of synchronized processes.

The objective is to help ongoing upgrades to the UK’s real-time gross settlement system.

This system, known as the Synchronisation Lab, provides 18 chosen companies a managed house to run assessments. They’ll attempt delivery-versus-payment and payment-versus-payment settlement between the financial institution’s upcoming RTGS core ledger, RT2, and exterior distributed-ledger programs.
