OSgrid is back up — and getting ready for 19th birthday celebration – Hypergrid Business

OSgrid has recovered from its current month-long outage and is on the brink of have fun its nineteenth birthday.

The social gathering will run from July 20  to July 26 on the Occasion Plaza area on OSgrid, hypergrid deal with hg.osgrid.org:80:occasion plaza.

OSgrid is the oldest public OpenSim grid, a testing floor for OpenSim growth, and a grid that enables anybody to attach areas totally free. Because of this, it’s the foundational pillar of the open metaverse — and I contemplate its LBSA Plaza to be the crossroads of the hypergrid.

This 12 months’s celebration is all about sci-fi and the longer term.

“This birthday is a testomony to each single volunteer, builder, scripter, and resident who has formed our universe,” the grid introduced. “It’s a celebration of your creativity, your resilience, and your ardour for an open, free, and forward-looking metaverse.”

Residents are welcome to advertise their areas or artistic initiatives by requesting an exhibit plot and displaying off their skills and builds.

To get a plot, contact an OSgrid admin in-world or on the grid’s Discord channel. Plots are allotted on a first-come, first-served foundation throughout the grid’s devoted OSG19B areas.
