Smithsonian museum will loan more than 200 works to institutions in all 50 states and Puerto Rico – The Art Newspaper

On the eve of festivities in Washington, DC, marking 250 years for the reason that signing of the US Declaration of Independence, the Smithsonian Establishment’s foremost museum of contemporary and modern artwork revealed plans to lend greater than 200 works from its assortment to establishments in each nook of the nation. Museums that may profit from the Hirshhorn and Artwork Bridges’ scheme embrace establishments huge and small, in main cities and small cities. Round 20% of the collaborating museums are affiliated with a higher-education establishment, from the Blanton Museum of Artwork on the College of Texas in Austin to the Sidney and Lois Eskenazi Museum of Artwork at Indiana College in Bloomington.
